Till 1970 Gul Ahmed was one of the prominent textile houses in Pakistan and made its name in Karachi Stock Exchange Market. In 2003, by opening its flagship store under the name of “Ideas by Gul Ahmed” began its journey to the retail sector.

Gul Ahmed, a name of persistence and determination. Though it commenced its journey from Karachi now more than 40 retail stores across Pakistan are vivid evidence of its zealous nature.

Muhammad Zaki Bashir is the current CEO of Gul Ahmed Textile Limited. Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited employs 14,862 employees.

Today Gul Ahmed is a composite unit and it is dealing with everything itself; from cotton yarn to finished products. Gul Ahmed possesses its captive power plants:

Gas engines,
Gas & steam turbines,
Backup diesel engines
